About the Artist.
A Few Fun Facts:
Hi, there! My name is Sierra. I’m 26, born and raised in Northeastern Pennsylvania, and photography is my favorite thing in the entire world.
I’ve been obsessed with photography, cameras, and capturing moments in time for as long as I can remember. As a little kid, I asked my parents for different types of cameras as a gift for every holiday and special occasion. I can distinctly remember proudly taking low-quality photos as a 4th grader while on class trips, as well as using a kid-friendly camcorder to record the everyday moments in my life. In high school, I learned the foundations of photography by shooting 35mm film in my Graphic’s lab, got my first DSLR at 18, and won 3rd place in a state-wide photo competition my senior year.
I’ve spent the last 8 years of my life experimenting with different styles and mediums in photography and have fallen even more in love with the craft. My own personal style has evolved into a mixture of artistic portraits and landscapes shot between 35mm film, Polaroids, and digital work. It truly is more than just a passion of mine, it’s an entire piece of me.
I own 20 different types of houseplants.
I’m a very proud mom to two animals: my dog’s name is Rudy and my cat’s name is Mitz.
Reading is probably my 2nd favorite hobby. I get really, intensely passionate about the books I’m reading and tend to rant about them to anyone who will listen.
Mac Miller is my favorite musical artist.
I absolutely love Harry Potter and have a tattoo of Harry’s glasses and scar.
I’m currently in college, majoring in Human Services.
I’ve been with my boyfriend, Keshon, for six years and taught him the basics of photography when we first met. He’s now just as obsessed with film photography as I am.
My favorite photographer is Ryan McGinley.
I’m a very nostalgic person and I think that’s why I love the art of photography so much.
